The Craft

Every drum begins with a piece of wood and a clear idea of the sound it should become.

From there, the shell takes shape step by step in the workshop. Whether built using stave or segmented construction, the goal is always the same: to create a shell that allows the wood to resonate freely and express its natural character.

Shell thickness, bearing edges and grain orientation are carefully refined to shape the drum’s response, sustain and projection.

Once the shell is complete, the instrument is finished and assembled with hardware that complements both its sound and visual identity.

What starts as raw wood gradually becomes something else entirely —
a drum with its own voice.
